- Iaggid-Lim
- (reigned ca. 1830-1820 b.c.)An Amorite leader who established a dynasty of rulers in the city of Mari, located on the upper reaches of the Euphrates River. Under Iaggid-Lim (or Yaggid-Lim), Mari grew highly prosperous, mainly through trade and local production of textiles. Apparently he got into a small-scale war with the ruler of a rival city, Ekallatum, who temporarily seized control of Mari. On his death, Iaggid-Lim was succeeded by his son, Iahdun-Lim.
